I went out for seing people. I'm not that kind of a people person, but I thought, nah, why the h*ll not.
I saw some posters of this festival that was coming. It was going to be opened today, so I thought I'd check it out.
It was very fun. People were nice to me, and they were smiling and just having fun. On the scene there were some guys showing up for something that looked like a performance. There was an old lady that told me that the guys were going to do "the Haka". It's a Maori wardance, traditionally used on the battlefield, but also when groups of people come together in peace. Their actoins include voilent foot-stamping, tongue protrusions and rhythmical body slapping to accompany a loud chant.
There's a leader that screames what their doing, and says some historical events of the tribes history.
A lot of the haka-dancers had this Ta Moko Tattoo's, which were awesome, but some very wierd.

Now I'm going home. It's been a great time but it's going to be nice coming home. But sure, I'll go on a trip like this sometime in the future.Sources:
